Montreal police are investigating a homicide in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension after the body of a woman was discovered in an apartment at 9 Avenue near Crémazie Boulevard East on August 16 around 1:45 p.m.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been confirmed. Police also found a 51-year-old man at the same location with serious injuries to his upper body. He is considered a suspect in the investigation and was transported to hospital, where his condition remained critical Sunday morning.
The SPVM confirmed that injuries to both individuals were caused by what police believe was a sharp object. The exact nature of the relationship between the two people has yet to be determined. Police have not released further details about the investigation.
