Indigenous Art Market fills the NAC this Sunday
Métis, Inuit, and First Nations makers showcase jewelry, beadwork, paintings, and more at the free Summer Indigenous Art Market.
The National Arts Centre's Gail & David O'Brien Atrium transforms into a gathering space this Sunday for the Summer Indigenous Art Market, bringing together Métis, Inuit, and First Nations artists and artisans from across the region.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 7, you can browse jewelry, beadwork, paintings, sculptures, mittens, moccasins, coffee, crafts, and more. The market celebrates Indigenous creativity and gives the community a chance to support artists directly while connecting with arts and culture.
The event is free — no tickets required. Most vendors accept both cash and card; there's an ATM on site. It's a low-key but purposeful afternoon: see friends, discover new makers, spend on work that matters. The kind of Sunday market that doesn't demand much but gives back plenty.
