Shenkman Arts Centre announces 2027 lineup with Brent Butt, Men Without Hats, circus

The Shenkman Arts Centre has unveiled its 2027 programming, spanning comedy, live music, circus, and illusion across the East End venue's spring season.
Brent Butt, the award-winning stand-up and corner architect behind the sitcom Corner Gas, performs Tuesday, January 27. The comedian's five-decade career in stand-up makes him a draw for comedy fans across the region.
Men Without Hats brings their '80s hits to the stage Thursday, February 5 — think Pop Goes the World, The Safety Dance, and Moonbeam. The band is a natural fit for anyone digging into nostalgia.
One Fell Swoop Circus takes the stage Sunday, March 22 with By a Thread, an acrobatic production exploring risk and trust through human relationships. The show weaves confusion, hilarity, romance, playfulness, fear, and friendship into a single arc.
Ted and Marion Outerbridge, Canadian master illusionists, perform Mysteries of the Keyhole House Saturday, April 11 — a spellbinding theatrical illusion set inside a century-old house rumoured to be haunted.
Other highlights include the Toronto Jazz Orchestra with Heather Bambrick (January 27), folk acts Pavlo (March 11) and Three Roads Home (April 22), and Ottawa Sings (April 15).
