Barrhaven garage fire from e-scooter contained in minutes

Ottawa firefighters contained an electric-scooter fire at a Barrhaven home on Wednesday evening, preventing it from spreading beyond its point of origin.

Ottawa Fire Services responded to the blaze at a single-family home on Valencia Street at 7:37 p.m. and had it under control by 7:47 p.m., according to an OFS news release. The fire was contained to the area where it started and did not spread to other parts of the home.
