CHEO lottery offers $5.3 million in prizes and Kanata dream home

The 2027 CHEO Dream of a Lifetime Lottery is now underway, featuring the largest retail value in the fundraiser's history: over $5.3 million in prizes.

The grand prize package is valued at over $3.6 million and anchored by "The Beaumont," a 5,340-square-foot home in Kanata's South March community designed to emulate a modern Parisian residence with multigenerational and accessible living in mind. The home features an interior elevator allowing access to all three floors without stairs—a critical feature for families with mobility considerations.

The residence showcases soaring ceilings, refined finishes, lacquered woods, fluted glass, polished metals and vibrant modern art. It includes a king-sized bedroom, a 1920s-inspired speakeasy in the basement, a theatre room and a fitness centre, along with views of a pond.

The grand prize winner receives the home plus $100,000 cash, a 2027 Mercedes-Benz, one year of house cleaning, legal services, $5,000 in groceries from Farm Boy and a $5,000 gas card.

Beyond the dream home, the lottery offers family getaways to the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica for four, and trips for two to Spain, Japan and Newfoundland. The popular 50/50 draw returns with a minimum guaranteed prize of $1 million. A "no bills for a year" prize offers $100,000 to cover a full year's expenses.

Tickets are one for $10, five for $25 or 15 for $50. An early bird draw offers $250,000 to anyone who purchases tickets by November 20.
