The international cycling marathon GFNY makes its Canadian debut in Ottawa on Sunday, September 13, with road closures affecting the Kanata area from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event starts and ends at Richcraft Recreation Complex. Innovation Drive and Terry Fox Drive between March Road and Blanding Street are fully closed. Local traffic only is permitted on March Road, Old Second Line Road, Marchurst Road, Thomas A. Dolan Parkway, Dunrobin Road, Dunhaven Drive, Murphy Side Road, Stonecrest Road, Woodkilton Road, Galetta Side Road, Fifth Line Road, and Kerwin Road.
OC Transpo is running detours on certain routes from 3:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The transit authority has not specified which routes are affected or how many users will be impacted by the detours.
