Man in his 20s shot on Bank Street early Saturday near Heron Road
Ottawa police are investigating a shooting that left a man with life-threatening injuries. No arrests announced as of Saturday afternoon.

Emergency crews found a man in his 20s with life-threatening injuries on Bank Street near Heron Road just after 4:45 a.m. Saturday. Paramedics transported him to hospital with gunshot wounds.
"Injuries were … going through the skin," said Kevin Montgomery, operations commander with the Ottawa Paramedic Service, describing the nature of the injuries from a medical perspective.
Ottawa Police Service's Guns and Gangs Unit and East Investigations Section are investigating. As of Saturday afternoon, no arrests had been announced, and police have not said whether charges have been laid or additional arrests are expected.
This is the third shooting Ottawa Police Service has responded to in recent months — a teenager was injured in an early morning shooting in east Ottawa in August, and shots fired between vehicles on Merivale Road injured one person in July.
