Man faces 61 charges over Vanier and Overbrook break-ins

A 45-year-old man faces 61 charges after being arrested in connection with 20 break-and-enters at businesses across Vanier and Overbrook, Ottawa Police Service announced June 23.
The investigation began February 1 and focused on incidents through June 1, with some businesses targeted more than once. The suspect was not identified by police.
Charges include multiple counts of break and enter, mischief, possession of break-in instruments, and breaches of probation conditions. As of June 23, the man remained in custody and was scheduled to appear in court on June 29.
