A second person has been arrested in connection with the April homicide in a Perth park where 34-year-old Christo Allison Richards died.
Lyna Du, 32, was arrested in Ottawa and charged with accessory after the fact to murder. She remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court Friday. OPP and RCMP also executed a search warrant at a rural property near Terrace, B.C., where two firearms were seized.
Richards was found with life-threatening injuries at Last Duel Park around 3:15 p.m. on April 12 and was rushed to a trauma centre but did not survive. Police initially charged two people with second-degree murder, and both remain wanted.
Officials believe suspect Joseph Madore, 34, is currently in B.C. with connections to Richmond, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Terrace. The second suspect, Brayton Kennedy, 28, may be travelling with Madore or could still be in the Ottawa area. His whereabouts are unknown.
