Raul San Martin Salas, 62, has been charged with multiple sexual offences against children following an investigation by the Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit. Charges include sexual assault, sexual interference with a person under 16 years, invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation of a young person, and telecommunications offences with minors for distributing sexually explicit material.
The alleged offences date back to 2015. San Martin Salas coached children's soccer for numerous years with various sanctioned and unsanctioned clubs across Ottawa. Police released a photo of the accused because, as the service stated, victims may not know his legal name.
