Toronto is working to bring back Paddle the Don, a long-running canoe and kayak event that has been paused since 2020. The revival would allow paddlers to experience the transformed Don River mouth and see restored nature in the Port Lands.
Supporters of the event say the changes to Toronto's waterfront make the revived paddle an opportunity to showcase the city's environmental restoration efforts and offer paddlers a fresh perspective on the area.
