The Condominium Home Owners Association of BC (CHOA) has launched the BC Condo Classroom, a free online educational website designed to provide practical learning resources for strata councils, owners, managers, and industry professionals throughout B.C.

The platform went live this past week with the first 10 learning modules in a planned series of approximately 50. The resources address the growing complexity of strata governance and the increasing need for reliable, practical education.

Developed over two years through extensive consultation, planning, and collaboration, the platform is made possible through partnership and support from BC Housing and the Province of British Columbia. Users can learn at their own pace while accessing current, B.C.-focused information covering the most common issues affecting strata corporations.

An estimated 1.5 million people in British Columbia live in strata housing. As the number and variety of strata communities continues to grow, access to trusted educational resources has become increasingly important.

"The BC Condo Classroom was created to make strata education available to everyone," said Tony Gioventu, CHOA executive director. "Whether you are serving on strata council, a concerned owner, managing a strata corporation, or working in the strata industry, these learning modules provide practical, reliable information for people living in a strata community."

Each learning module is supported by companion reference materials, creating a comprehensive learning experience. Additional modules will be released quarterly until the full library of approximately 50 topics is complete. The curriculum will continue to evolve to reflect legislative changes, emerging policy, and the changing operational needs of strata communities across B.C. More information is available at www.bccondoclassroom.ca.
