Body of Alberta man missing four weeks recovered from northern Manitoba river

The body of James Redmond, 60, has been recovered from the Nelson River near Kelsey, Manitoba, four weeks after he went missing while fishing.
Redmond was reported missing August 3 after failing to return from a fishing trip to the shore of the Nelson River northeast of Thompson, Manitoba. His body was recovered September 1 near the shore at Kelsey Dam, Kelsey, by Dominion Divers and the Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team (HEART).
Thompson Rural RCMP were called on August 3 and determined the death was not suspicious. Police believe the death was caused by drowning. During the search, some of Redmond's fishing gear was located roughly 200 metres upstream from the dam at Kelsey Generating Station, near his cabin — the location where police believe Redmond entered the river.
