The list, updated in mid-June, draws salary figures directly from job listings on the hiring platform. Data scientists rank 15th at $96,641 per year, followed by pharmacists at $113,985. Pharmacists prepare and dispense prescription medication, advise patients on proper use, and administer vaccines — roles requiring a pharmacy degree, supervised training, and registration with a provincial regulator like the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec locally.

Software architects earn $116,842 and make high-level design decisions on how programs or systems should be built. Corporate controllers, overseeing accounting functions including budgeting and accounts payable and receivable, earn $123,125, as do enterprise architects guiding IT infrastructure and digital strategy. At the top, IT directors overseeing entire technology departments earn $126,924 per year. Most of these roles require bachelor's degrees in related fields, with some positions asking for advanced certifications or master's degrees.
