Nine people, including the suspected shooter, are dead following a mass shooting in Erie, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah, who has served in the force for more than 28 years, told local news that the devastation was unprecedented for the city. "I have not seen anything like this in my 28-plus years," Lorah said. "I'm not sure that the city of Erie has ever seen the loss of life and the devastation that we just witnessed."
Erie is located 117 miles north of Pittsburgh. Gov. Josh Shapiro offered "full support" to Erie Mayor Daria Devlin following the incident.
