A $40-million LOTTO Max ticket that was set to expire at midnight Wednesday has been claimed, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says. The winning ticket from the October 28 draw was sold in Grey County and was validated at an OLG terminal before the deadline.
The prize was on track to become the second-largest unclaimed LOTTO Max jackpot in the country, behind a $70 million ticket sold in Scarborough in a June 2022 draw. OLG says it is now working through a review process to confirm who the rightful owner or owners are. Because the ticket was bought at a retailer, the corporation does not know who bought it, but it says it holds detailed information about the ticket itself.
The winning numbers were 6, 14, 17, 19, 26, 43 and 45, with 27 as the bonus number.
