Bushido, a new Japanese restaurant specializing in blind, multi-course Kaiseki dining, opens Friday, October 23, at Casa Loma.
The restaurant seats just 16 diners per night and charges $350 per person for a set menu that changes nightly. Wine and sake pairings are available for an additional $100. Menus are not shared with diners in advance; with each course, guests move through four of the property's 98 rooms to experience new flavours in changing settings.
"Casa Loma has always held a sense of mystery," Nick Di Donato, President and CEO of Liberty Entertainment Group (the hospitality company behind Bushido, BlueBlood Steakhouse, and Michelin-starred DaNico), told the source. "With Bushido, we wanted to create something that allows guests to experience the castle in an entirely new way. The most memorable part of the evening should be what they never saw coming."
Expect Japanese bites throughout the evening, though specific dishes will remain a surprise. Reservations are open now at Casa Loma's website. Participating times and showtimes will be available by end of day October 22 on Cineplex's website.
Casa Loma, already home to BlueBlood Steakhouse, continues to expand its dining offerings with this high-end addition.
