Kraft Dinner has launched KD Ramen, a fusion combining the brand's signature cheesy flavour with instant ramen noodles.
Three flavours are now available: Cheesy (a blend of KD cheddar and savoury ramen with umami and subtle spice), Extra Cheesy (mild ramen with extra KD cheese), and Extra Spicy (ramen heat cooled by KD creaminess).
Torontonians can sample it free at the 7-Eleven at 1 Eglinton Ave. E. between 9 p.m. and midnight before the product rolls out more widely in stores.
"With KD Ramen, we're bringing that iconic KD cheesiness to an entirely new aisle and occasion," Kelly Fleming, chief marketing officer for Kraft Heinz Canada, said in a statement. Canadians online have called the comfort-food crossover "brilliant," with many eager to try it. The launch taps into Canada's appetite for nostalgic comfort foods with a modern twist, betting that one of the country's most iconic brands can reach a new audience beyond the mac-and-cheese aisle.
