Three years after opening in Regent Park, Liberty Pizzeria is finally expanding across the city.
The neighbourhood pizzeria built a devoted following since summer 2023 with its commitment to authentic New York-style pizza. Locals became known for carrying pies to Riverdale Park on sunny days. When demand kept growing — customers from across the city making regular pilgrimages — the team knew it was time to grow.
"Expansion became a natural next step as demand continued to grow and customers from across the city began regularly making the trip to visit us," the team said.
Queen West emerged as the natural choice. The neighbourhood's vibe aligns with Liberty's core audience: people who appreciate quality food, unique brands, and independent businesses. "Queen West has a vibe that definitely matches Liberty's core," the team explained. "It attracts people who appreciate quality food, unique brands, and independent businesses, making it a natural fit for Liberty's next chapter."
The second location, opening sometime in summer 2026 with no exact date announced yet, will feature the same thin, crispy-crusted pizzas diners know from Dundas East. The space will include "an updated design and customer experience that reflects the growth of the brand."
When it opens, Liberty Pizzeria's second location will be at 247 Queen St. W.
