Prince Street Pizza is gearing up to open a second Toronto location at Yonge and Eglinton, nearly three years after its debut at The Well drew lines of local foodies eager to taste its iconic square-shaped slices.
The New York-based chain, which has been serving its signature pizza since 2012, will take over 2472 Yonge St., the space where Cibo Wine Bar operated for a decade before closing in early 2025. Signage recently went up at the address announcing the expansion, though Prince Street Pizza has not yet formally announced the location or provided an opening date — only promising "coming soon."
Interest in Prince Street hasn't faded at its original location. The Well spot continues to draw regular lineups, a persistence that drew some criticism early in its Toronto run but has only deepened the chain's reputation among slice enthusiasts. The new Yonge and Eglinton address will give an entirely different neighbourhood the chance to experience what has remained a steady draw.
No word yet on menu plans, staffing, or operational details for the second location.
