DaNico, the Michelin-starred Italian restaurant across from Sneaky Dee's on College Street, has opened Luna by DaNico, a 30-seat all-season patio next door that trades the tasting-menu formality for casual, shareable dining.

"We wanted to provide an option where people can still enjoy the high level of culinary execution and service by augmenting our bar program and giving people a reason to visit DaNico more regularly, as opposed to only on special occasions," said Nick Di Donato, Liberty Group's president and CEO.

Chef Daniele Corona's patio menu moves away from Italian tradition into modern global terrain. Instead of bruschetta or calamari fritti, you'll find Ossetra caviar served in pani puri with crème fraîche and chives, or Australian wagyu paired with shishito peppers, creamy ricotta, guanciale, and freshly grated wasabi. The space mirrors DaNico's sophistication but feels lighter and more approachable — still fine dining execution, just in a flats-food format.

Liberty Group's design ethos, handled by Nadia Di Donato, carries through: the patio reflects the same refined aesthetic as its formal sibling but invites the kind of repeat visits that special occasions alone couldn't guarantee.
