The Toronto World Dumpling Festival, the city's first dedicated dumpling celebration, opens Friday, July 17, running through Sunday, July 19, at Pacific Mall in Markham.

The three-day outdoor event takes place in the mall's south parking lot at 4300 Steeles Ave. E., daily from noon to 10 p.m. It's presented in partnership with the Canadian Eastern Culinary Association and branded as Toronto's inaugural ACAAC World Dumpling Festival.

Acclaimed chefs and culinary professionals will showcase dumplings from around the world — traditional recipes alongside modern takes using new ingredients, techniques, and presentations. Live chef demonstrations, family-friendly entertainment, and interactive activities are planned throughout.

The festival theme is "One bite. Many cultures. Endless flavours." Beyond the food stalls, the event includes free admission, a beer and wine garden, lion dance, cheerleading performances, and World Cup watch parties on July 18 and 19. A night-market atmosphere unfolds as the sun sets, with evening programming rounding out the experience.

The dumpling festival is part of Pacific Mall's Summer Carnival Volume 2, which also features an entertainment zone and family fun zone.
