Male found dead in burning shed in Brampton; police investigating cause

Emergency crews were called to a home on Aloma Crescent Thursday afternoon. Police say it's unclear if the person died before or as a result of the fire.

Update — July 26, 2026: Police are investigating a death after a body was found near train tracks in Brampton on July 26, 2026, in the area of Queen Street East and Theatre Lane. Metrolinx confirmed the incident did not involve a train and there were no impacts to service.

A male has been found dead inside a burning shed in a Brampton backyard, and Peel Regional Police are investigating whether he died before or as a result of the fire.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Aloma Crescent around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday for reports of a shed on fire. After dousing the flames, crews discovered the body inside.

The deceased's age has not been released. Police said more information will come as the investigation continues.
