One person was rushed to hospital with critical injuries after a shooting in Brampton on Sunday afternoon.

Peel Region police say the shooting occurred near Earlsbridge Boulevard and Edenbrook Hill Drive just after 3:30 p.m. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim's age and gender were not immediately available.

Police are searching for at least two male suspects who were seen fleeing the scene on foot. Both were dressed in black. No additional suspect details were immediately available. An investigation is ongoing.
