Motorcyclist killed in Brampton hit-and-run crash

One person died after a collision near Bovaird Drive and Yellow Brick Road early Saturday. Police are searching for the driver who fled.

A motorcyclist is dead after a hit-and-run crash in Brampton early Saturday morning.

Peel police officers received a call around 3:47 a.m. for a crash between a motorcycle and vehicle near Bovaird Drive and Yellow Brick Road. Peel paramedics pronounced one person dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle failed to remain at the scene. Police have not yet provided a description of the other vehicle or clarified whether more than one motorcyclist was involved in the crash.

Bovaird Drive is closed between Main Street and Yellow Brick Road as the investigation continues. Residents are asked to avoid the area.
