Man stabbed in East York, police investigate

A man in his 50s was stabbed in East York early Saturday evening and transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Victoria Park and Danforth Avenues at approximately 7:37 p.m. on reports of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they located the victim suffering from stab wounds.

Police have not released information about potential suspects or the circumstances that led to the stabbing. An investigation is ongoing.
