A 20-year-old Woodstock man was arrested on stunt driving charges in Mississauga after police observed his vehicle travelling at high speed early Friday.

Peel Region OPP stopped the vehicle around 1 a.m. on May 23 near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Argentia Road. The driver, Mitchel Hunter, was charged with stunt driving and speeding — clocked at 102 km/h in a 60 km zone. His licence was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle impounded for 14 days.

Hunter was previously charged with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm for a November 2024 crash at Steeles Avenue and Finch Avenue in Brampton that killed one person and injured two others. Speed and street racing were considered factors in that collision. He remains awaiting trial on those charges.
