A 20-year-old Woodstock man charged with stunt driving in Mississauga is already facing trial related to a fatal collision, Peel Regional Police said.

Mitchel Hunter was caught driving 102 kilometres per hour in a 60 km/h zone around 1 a.m. last month. He now faces charges of stunt driving, speeding, failure to surrender his driver's licence, and driving a motor vehicle contrary to emissions regulations. For this incident, consequences include a 30-day licence suspension and two-week vehicle impoundment.

But the more serious charges stem from November 2025. Hunter was arrested and charged after a fatal collision in Brampton. Those charges include dangerous driving causing death and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

The stunt-driving arrest while awaiting trial on a deadly-driving case raises questions about his driving behaviour and court conditions. Police have not indicated whether he was released on conditions that restricted his driving privileges.
