Motorcyclist seriously injured in Scarborough crash

Two riders ejected in single-vehicle collision near U of T Scarborough campus Sunday afternoon.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision near Military Trail Road and Ellesmere Road in Scarborough on Sunday just after 3:20 p.m., near the University of Toronto Scarborough campus.

Toronto police say a motorcycle was involved in a single-vehicle collision when a second motorcycle attempting to avoid the crash also collided. Both riders were ejected from their motorcycles.

Paramedics transported a woman in her 20s with non-life-threatening injuries. The second rider, also a woman in her 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The circumstances of the initial collision remain under investigation.
