Man sentenced to life for 2022 nightclub shooting in Vaughan

Kensworth Alton Francis, 31, was sentenced Friday to two concurrent life sentences for first-degree murder in the July 23, 2022 shooting deaths of two security guards at ATL Lounge, 2220 Highway 7 West in Vaughan. He also received an additional eight years for unlawfully causing bodily harm.
Tosin Amos-Arowoshegbe, 25, and Chibueze Momah, 22, were killed in the shooting. A 20-year-old woman was wounded and hospitalized in stable condition. Police said an altercation inside the club led to the targeted shooting.
Francis fled the country after the incident and was arrested in March 2024 by the United States Marshals Service in Hartford, Connecticut. He was extradited to York Region to face charges. He will be ineligible for parole for 25 years.
