Toronto police are hunting four masked gunmen who made off with more than $1 million in jewellery during an armed robbery in the downtown core earlier this month.

The theft occurred just before 5 a.m. on May 10 when the suspects approached two victims parked near Spadina Avenue and Bremner Boulevard, held them at gunpoint, and stole their jewellery before fleeing in a blue Nissan Rogue with stolen licence plates.

Police describe the suspects as men dressed in dark clothing, hoodies, and face coverings. The vehicle and its fake plates have not been recovered. Investigators are asking anyone with information about the robbery or the whereabouts of the Nissan Rogue to contact them.

The theft marks another high-value crime in a downtown core that's seen increasing property crimes over the past two years. Anyone who witnessed the robbery or has security footage from the area is urged to come forward.
