Blue Jays pitcher Berrios set for elbow surgery Wednesday
Stress fracture will sideline key starter during season
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher José Berríos will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a stress fracture in his elbow, manager John Schneider confirmed Saturday. Berríos will be treated by Dr. Keith Meister. Last season, the pitcher went 9-5 with a 4.17 ERA before landing on the injured list in September with elbow inflammation.
