Toronto Tempo loses to Dallas Wings 89–76 as Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd combine for 39 points
Bueckers scored 22 points and Fudd added 17 as the first-overall WNBA draft picks led the Wings to victory at Coca-Cola Coliseum on Sunday.

Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd combined for 39 points to lead the Dallas Wings past the Toronto Tempo 89–76 on Sunday at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
Bueckers, one of two first-overall WNBA draft picks on the Wings roster, scored 22 points with seven assists and three rebounds in nearly 31 minutes. It marked her fifth consecutive game scoring at least 20 points. Fudd added 17 points, going 5-for-11 from three-point range, along with three rebounds and two assists. Wings centre Jessica Shepard recorded a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Dallas controlled the game from start to finish, scoring their first nine points from three-point range and never relinquishing the lead. The Wings outscored the Tempo 20–6 on second-chance points and led 47–42 at halftime.
Mariana Mabrey led Toronto with 19 points, five assists, and five rebounds. The Tempo entered Sunday without star guard Brittney Sykes (left foot), rookie Kiki Rice (left ankle), and Temi Fagbenle (left eye) due to injuries, and point guard Julie Allemand was a late scratch with a left ankle injury. Toronto was outrebounded 42–35 overall, including 16–13 on offensive boards.
The Tempo will host the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday.
