The westbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway were closed Friday morning at Rees Street following a multi-vehicle crash and fire.

Emergency services responded just after 9:30 a.m. to reports of the incident. Between two and four vehicles were involved in the collision.

Paramedics transported two people to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The fire was extinguished at the scene.

From Jarvis Street to Rees, all westbound lanes remained closed, with drivers being sent off at the Rees exit. Eastbound lanes stayed open.
