Gun spotted in Jane and Finch, schools in lockdown
Toronto police search for suspect after reports of firearm in neighborhood. No injuries reported.
Toronto police placed several schools in a hold and secure Thursday morning after reports of a person with a gun in the Jane and Finch area near Jane Street and Hullmar Drive.
Police were called shortly before 11:40 a.m. No gunshots or injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a six-foot-tall male with a light brown complexion, a moustache, and two braids. He was wearing grey plaid pajama pants, a black t-shirt with a dark sweater tied around his waist, and grey shoes. He was carrying a grey backpack.
Schools in the area were secured as a precaution while the search continued.
