Toronto police are intensifying their search for Esther, 14, who vanished from the Earl Bales Park area in North York on Friday night—now six days ago. The urgency is real: authorities have upgraded the case to a Level 1 operation, the highest designation available, which allows police to deploy canine units, mounted officers, and marine units in the search.
Esther was last seen wearing a long-sleeved turquoise sweater with words on the front and grey pants. Police released photos and set up a command post at the park itself, signaling the seriousness of the investigation. "Given Esther's age and the length of time she is missing, we remain deeply concerned for her safety," Duty Inspector Jon Rose said Thursday.
The police have also created a dedicated phone line—(647) 355-4148—for the public to submit tips. They've set up a QR code for anyone with video footage that might help investigators. Her parents made an emotional public appeal Tuesday, with her mother asking, "Esti, my love, if you are watching this, please come home."
