Toronto Police have seized a sixth unauthorized drone near FIFA World Cup events, confiscating the device yesterday morning near Fort York Boulevard and Fleet Street.

One person has been charged with operating a drone during an advertised event under Canadian Aviation Regulations. This follows numerous other charges laid in recent days after people operated drones near Toronto's World Cup fan zones.

Air space is restricted in three designated no-fly zones: Centennial Park, Downsview Park, and Fort York. Police emphasized that "this restriction applies even when there is no game being played and/or Fan Fest is not open."

The reminder comes as the city prepares for increased crowds and events throughout the tournament.
