Toronto police are searching for a black 2016 to 2020 Honda Civic with tinted windows and no front licence plate in connection with shots fired at three apartment buildings in Thorncliffe Park.
Police say the vehicle fled the area after shots were fired Wednesday morning at 43 Thorncliffe Park Drive. There were no reported injuries. The same vehicle is believed to have been used in two earlier incidents — shootings at 47 and 49 Thorncliffe Park Drive on Sunday at 4 a.m., also with no injuries reported.
Coun. Rachel Chernos Lin held a news conference Wednesday to address resident concerns. "Between these three buildings, there are thousands of families that live here," she said. "Obviously, people are worried. There are lots of multi-generational families that live here." She confirmed residents can expect to see increased police presence in the area.
