Toronto police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an assault in Scarborough early Friday morning.
Officers and paramedics responded to the area of Morningside Avenue and Ellesmere Road just after 5:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, after receiving a call that someone had been assaulted in a park. Police say the suspect was armed with a knife.
The victim was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police describe the suspect as male and Black, possibly in his teens, around five feet seven inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing black pants and a black sweatshirt at the time of the incident.
