A man is dead after a collision involving a motorized scooter and a sedan near Dufferin Mall on Friday morning, July 17. The crash happened near Bloor Street W. and Dufferin Street just after 8 a.m., Toronto police said.
The man riding the scooter was taken to hospital with critical injuries, where he was later pronounced dead around 10:40 a.m. The driver of the sedan remained at the scene.
Police have not released the victim's identity. Part of Dufferin Street was closed between Bloor Street W. and Sylvan Avenue late Friday morning as the investigation continued. Drivers were encouraged to find alternate routes.
