Stolen Toronto vehicles recovered in Ashton; two suspects at large

Three vehicles reported stolen from Toronto have been recovered abandoned in Ashton, linking a cross-border theft ring to the Ottawa area.
Ontario Provincial Police launched the investigation early Monday morning after three vehicle thefts were reported in Toronto. Officers linked the incidents to the abandoned vehicles found in Ashton, west of the city.
The drivers left the scene before police arrived. Officers from the K9 division, aviation unit, and emergency response team canvassed the area but did not locate anyone. Police have arrested one person in connection with the thefts.
Two suspects remain outstanding, and police are asking the public to report any information. The OPP did not release descriptions of the two outstanding suspects or confirm their names.
