Toronto Elections is hiring thousands of paid workers to staff voting places for the 2026 municipal election on Monday, October 26, with applications now open.

The city is recruiting residents for various poll positions to help support voting locations across Toronto. All applicants must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in Canada. The roles are aimed at people interested in gaining hands-on experience in customer service, problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork while helping run a fair, accessible, and secure election.

Successful applicants will be placed at voting locations close to their home address where possible. Residents without computer or internet access can apply using resources at Toronto Public Library branches, Toronto Employment and Social Services locations, and community employment hubs.

More information and the application process are available through the Toronto Elections Jobs webpage. Additional details about the 2026 municipal election are on the Toronto Elections website.
