Canada takes on Qatar at BC Place in Vancouver on Thursday evening in its second FIFA World Cup group stage match, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

Canada enters the match with one point after a 1–1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina in its opening game. A win against Qatar would significantly strengthen the team's chances of advancing from Group B, where every team is currently level on points.

Head coach Jesse Marsch has confirmed that team captain Alphonso Davies, who missed the opening match due to a hamstring injury, has been cleared to play.

Toronto fans can watch at public viewing sites including the FIFA Fan Festival at Fort York and the Bentway, though Environment Canada is forecasting rain throughout the afternoon and evening. The unsettled weather could affect the festival's operation.
