Cineplex is raising the price of its CineClub memberships for the first time since launching the program in 2021.
Beginning July 15, monthly memberships will cost $10.99, an increase from $9.99. Annual memberships will jump to $120.89 from $109.89.
Cineplex spokesperson Michelle Saba said the changes will help keep the program sustainable. Along with the price increase, the cinema chain is adjusting how many Scene+ points CineClub members receive when redeeming movie tickets and changing how members can use the program for event screenings.
CineClub offers members allotments of monthly or annual movie tickets along with discounts on passes to additional screenings.
