Canadians who bought Keurig K-Cup pods or brewing systems are running out of time to claim money from a $1.85-million class-action settlement. The deadline is July 8 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
The lawsuit alleged Keurig sold pods and brewers with misleading claims about recyclability and disposability. The Ontario Superior Court of Justice approved the settlement in December 2025, though it states the settlement is "a compromise and not an admission of liability or wrongdoing by Keurig."
Eligible purchases span June 8, 2016, to December 8, 2025, for products sold in Canada. Claimants can receive:
K-Cup Pods: Without proof of purchase, up to $7. With proof of purchase, 50 cents per 10 pods (maximum $50).
K-Cup Brewers: With proof of purchase, up to $25.
Claimants can submit one combined claim per household or business. After court-approved legal fees are deducted from the settlement pool, remaining funds are distributed to class members. Submissions must be made online; all claims require personal information and proof of purchase. Payments come by e-transfer or cheque, with a $3.75 deduction for the latter.
If you meet eligibility requirements, fill out a claim form at the settlement website before the deadline. The longer you wait, the shorter the window to secure your claim.
