Rogers has been ranked as having Canada's best and most reliable 5G+ network by Umlaut for the eighth consecutive year, scoring 898 out of 1,000 possible points in the firm's latest benchmark.

Umlaut, owned by consulting firm Accenture, conducted drive-route testing with a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra between May 2025 and March 2026, covering nearly 61 per cent of Canada's population. The firm also gathered crowdsourced performance data over 24 weeks, accounting for just over 99 per cent of the population.

Rogers scored highest in voice and data tests, consistently outperforming Bell (865 points) and Telus (847 points). However, the report notes an interesting pattern: crowdsourced data shows Bell and Telus frequently matching or beating Rogers in real-world user experience metrics.

For 5G+ reliability specifically, Rogers scored 593 out of 600 points, followed by Bell at 583 and Telus at 579.

One notable detail: Rogers commissioned the report. While Rogers has commissioned Umlaut's testing before, the firm's involvement raises questions about potential bias—though Umlaut is a separate Accenture division with its own testing methodology.
