Tuesday's got music, transit hiccups, and a Whitecaps match tonight

Morning's 15°C and crisp, partly cloudy skies overhead. UV's sitting at 7, which is high, so if you're spending the day outside grab sunscreen and you'll be golden. Sun doesn't dip until 8:48 tonight, so you've got a proper long day ahead.

Transit's got some bumps this morning. The 31 has operational issues both ways—westbound trips from River District are cancelled at 6:11, 6:52, and 7:29 am, and eastbound from Metrotown at 6:00, 6:40, and 7:15 am. The 187 out of Coquitlam Central is also down at 6:18, 7:02, 7:44, and 8:35. If you rely on those routes, give yourself extra time or check the app for alternates. Over at Renfrew Station, the elevator to the VCC-Clark platform is out of service for now, so if stairs aren't your thing, that's worth knowing.

On the local front, a B.C. court just ruled involuntary mental health treatment unconstitutional—a significant call on how the province approaches crisis care. Meanwhile, New Westminster's expanding Westminster Pier Park by two acres along the Fraser, so if you've got plans to wander that stretch soon, there's more space coming. And yesterday the province honoured twelve British Columbians with the Order of B.C., including Richmond's Harold Steves, who's spent seven decades protecting farmland—that's the kind of quiet legacy worth noting.

If you're thinking dinner, Sula's doing a seven-course tasting menu for 48 bucks that walks you through India's regional cuisines—solid option if you want to eat well without breaking the bank. Main Street's also got a one-night collaboration tonight with D.C. chef Johnny Spero at Burdock & Co if you're after something different.

This evening's got live music scattered across the city. Myles Smith and Yung Kai are at the Freedom Mobile Arch at 6:30, and EJEAN's playing the Fox Cabaret at 7:00. If soccer's your thing, the Whitecaps are home at BC Place tonight at 7:30 against Atlante in the Leagues Cup—could be a good crowd. The Fixx also moved their show to the Pearl, same time, 6:30.

Weather's staying dry and pleasant, so whether you're catching live music or heading to the pitch, you've picked a good evening to be out. Just keep the transit situation in mind on your way in.

Cheers, and have a solid Tuesday.
