Sunday clear skies — get outside, then catch some live music tonight.

Morning's yours. We've got 14 hours of daylight, mainly sunny skies, and UV sitting at 7 — that's the high end, so if you're heading to the beach or the seawall, sunscreen's not optional. It'll stay cool at 14, but the sun's real, and you've got until 8:40 PM to play with.

Transit's clean today — no major disruptions. If you're heading out to Coquitlam way next weekend though, flag it: the 174 and 173 both have detours running Saturday the 15th from late morning into the evening due to a special event, so plan ahead if that's your usual route.

Worth knowing this morning: a 13-year-old is still missing after falling off a paddleboard at Cultus Lake yesterday. The BC Lions beat the Tiger-Cats 27-24 last night with Rourke back from a shoulder injury — solid comeback win. On the city side, the mayor's pushing hard for 100 involuntary mental health beds in Van, and Roche Point Park just got official protection, which shuts down a 26-hectare development that was on the table.

If you're thinking food, there's some solid new energy: Hen, a Thai chicken rice spot, softly opened this week on West Broadway and is worth a look. If you're in a tasting mood, Sula's running a seven-course regional Indian menu for $48. And if you want French without the ceremony, Tour de Feast is the call. There's also a white wine guide floating around if you're planning to keep August's sipping going.

Tonight's where it gets good. You've got two solid music plays: Thee Sacred Souls and LA LOM are bringing the soul at Freedom Mobile Arch and the PNE Forum, both kicking at 6 PM — early enough to catch the light if you're hanging outside before. If K-pop's your lane, IVE's at Rogers Arena at 8 PM. There's also Sagar Wali Qawwali at Casino Vancouver at 8 if that's calling you. With the sun not dropping until 8:40, early shows feel open and alive.

Get out there. It's a Sunday that actually feels like summer.
