Transit-wise, the Expo Line had a stalled train early this morning but it's cleared now — expect a few minor delays as things get back to normal, but Canada Line and Millennium are running clean. If you're heading to Surrey, watch for R1 detours starting at 5:40 AM on both the King George routes (Newton Exchange and Guildford) due to road blocks — they're routing through 104 Ave and University Blvd, so add a few minutes if that's your way.

Davie Street between Jervis and Thurlow is closed for construction through spring 2028, so if that's your regular cut through Kits, time to find another route. Worth knowing: Sushi Aboard's closing their Denman spot after six years, so if you've got a last meal there in mind, don't sleep on it.

For eating today, if you're thinking dinner, Rob Feenie's got a new Wagyu burger at Le Crocodile with port jus and foie gras — proper fancy if you want to mark the start of the weekend. Zumi's bringing a revolving sushi bar to the West End this winter too, so that's one to watch.
