Wednesday commute shuffle — watch the transit tweaks before you head out

Heads up on the commute: the 16 is taking a detour from 63rd Loop via Granville Street before it gets back on track, so if you're heading that way, board the shuttle to Arbutus. The 33 to UBC has had to cancel the 6:00 AM and 7:58 AM trips from 29th Avenue Station due to an operational issue — worth checking before you walk out the door. Also worth knowing: the elevator at Canada Line's Vancouver City Centre Station from street level down to the concourse is down as of early this morning. That Highway 1 incident in Burnaby near Kensington Ave that was causing grief overnight has cleared, so you should be fine heading that direction now.

Weather-wise, you're looking at 13°C and cloudy, so layer up a touch but nothing dramatic. Sunset's at 7:08 PM if you're planning an evening out, and UV's a soft 3 — not much to sweat about.
